Hi! I’m Ethan Baccam.
I’m pursuing a career in UX Design, using my background in Psychology and my passion for Design to create fantastic products that are driven by research and understanding.
Take a look at what I’ve done below. Let’s make something great!
CyRide for Smartwatch
UX Designer & Researcher
My team project for HCI 572 was redesigning Iowa State’s CyRide application for the medium of a smartwatch. The unique design space offered many challenges, but highlighted the importance of understanding the root problems of users, organizing information in a limited space, and the importance of high-level design thinking.
Email Design System
Casey’s, UX Design Intern
My project during my time at Casey’s was laying the foundation of a refreshed email design system, with goals such as making creating emails easier, adding brand identity, and improving the onboarding process. The design system was also created with modularity in mind to help the marketing team create emails without explicit knowledge of HTML or CSS.
Matchify
HCI 550X, UX Designer and Researcher
Matchify was a team project for a class at Iowa State University, HCI 550X. The goal was to create a engaging shopping experience for users who want a particular product, but don’t have the savviness or the time to research technical specifications to make sure it was the right choice for them.
KURE Website Redesign
Freelance, UX Designer and Researcher
As the final project for my Google UX Professional Certificate, I created a case study for a potential redesign of Iowa State’s campus radio station, 88.5 KURE Ames Alternative, featuring a refreshed brand identity, improved information architecture, and more.
